What are the trends in designing / realigning global production networks?

In our empirical study, we examine the status and current trends in the design and realignment of global production networks of German companies. In addition to the general design principles of a GMF, the topics of low-cost vs. best-cost country (LCC/BCC) and the approaches for low-budget products are also examined. We also take a look at the assessment of geopolitical risks, the topic of sustainability in the production and supply chain environment and the location of China.

What is the purpose of the white paper?

Our aim is to give the interested reader some pointers for their own challenges or confirmation of measures already taken. By its very nature, this document cannot provide a comprehensive picture of current developments.
