TESEON has developed a flexible modular concept for the new Grundodrill generation. The modular design for different machine sizes and a wide range of options now allow customers to configure their drill rig according to their individual requirements from this modular system.
About the company
TRACTO-TECHNIK develops, produces and sells machines and accessories for the underground laying and renewal of pipelines. This trenchless technology is used in the construction of pipeline networks for water, gas, electricity, telecommunications, district heating, fiber optic cable networking, pipeline construction and wastewater disposal.

About the project
The top features for the definition of the new product generation were determined from the systematically recorded user requirements.
As part of the definition of the product range, the market-driven performance classes and the product features for these performance classes were determined.
Based on this, a flexible modular concept was created for the product architecture of the new Grundodrill generation, which exploits the potential of modularization and standardization.
To this end, the requirements for the components of the product architecture for the various performance classes were derived as the basis for the concept development.
New solution ideas were generated for the boom storage and boom handling sub-functions through the systematic application of creative product development methods.

Market-driven GRUNDODRILL product range with six models in performance classes from 60 to 280 kN.
Development of an efficient modular concept with a wide range of configuration options for equipping the drill rig according to the range of applications and customer requirements.
